Hello, on a 2TB USB drive I transfer about 100GB and then the following videos are no longer readable. However, everything works fine on the source hard drive. I have the same problem on other USB drives of the same size.

Hello,
If you purchased a drive labeled as 2TB innocently and without certainty, you have a fake 2TB drive.
If you want to try to restore its actual capacity, do the following:
Create a log by right-clicking in the ChipGenius window > Ok > Paste (here)https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/ChipGenius.shtml
Note: It may be perceived as a virus when it is not, due to the fact that it extracts information about the hardware (the USB drive in particular, which is what we want).
If you want the latest version download here, but your antivirus might detect it (incorrectly)

Sorry for the innocent misunderstanding, but many people get caught innocently.
Some sellers label it as 32GB-2TB (Upgraded from 32GB, 2TB data can be stored but not displayed).
(To avoid getting hit)
In fact, sometimes it’s 32GB memory, but the rest of the 2TB is like ghost memory (That doesn't really exist)
The firmware would need to be re-flashed for Windows to properly recognize it as 32GB, with no more files lost in the void. -

I believe you have the choice between two versions of the FirstChip tools
FirstChip FC1178BC MpTools
FirstChip FC1178/FC1179 MpTools
https://www.usbdev.ru/files/firstchip/
Try the latest versions first
Like:
FirstChip FC1178/FC1179 MpTools V1.0.5.2 (2022-06-01) ; FirstChip_MpTools_20220601.rar; size: 17,602,646 bytes.

You should have a Settings or Options button, but I believe there’s nothing to change
You can press the Start or Start All button
It will take a long time, but it should fix your USB drive -
When you finish updating the firmware, format your USB drive and check it with H2testw

If Test finished without errors > Your USB drive has become reliable with its true size. -
These are things that can happen if the tool no longer contains the old data on the old memory.
You can try the older versions of the program.https://www.usbdev.ru/files/firstchip/fc1179mptools/
Including those from this page if needed
https://www.usbdev.ru/files/firstchip/fc1178bcmptools/
If necessary, the APTools can also help, to act like a kind of Hard ResetBut sometimes if it doesn't recognize the memory it can deprogram it to the point that it is no longer recognizable by MPTool afterwards; it can be risky, but when needed, it’s necessary.
FirstChip FC1178BC ApTools
FirstChip FC1178/FC1179 ApToolshttps://www.usbdev.ru/files/firstchip/fc1178aptools/
https://www.usbdev.ru/files/firstchip/fc1179aptools/
You need to use MPTool after APTool.
But it is not always necessary to use APTool; avoid it if you can.
But in principle, it should go well; the FirstChip tools have not left me with bad memories.-
By Windows, it's normal, since there was an error.
The APTools or MPTools should recognize it, to make it usable.
If one tool doesn't work, you try other versions of FirstChip MPTools
Or APTools and then MPTools
Until you succeed.

You will let me know when you have succeeded, then if you have other keys to do, you can still show me ChipGenius logs so we can find the necessary tools if possible.

Did you run APTools?
It indicates that it's a 64GB if that's the case.
But it is not completely reprogrammed yet if you don't see it in Windows.
Then it needs to be reprogrammed with the correct version of MPTools, which is not always easy to find, and you'll just have to try different versions.
We start with the most recent versions, and if that doesn't work, we go back to older ones. -

Note that sometimes the tool to flash it correctly may not have been released publicly yet, so you should check for new versions from time to time.
