Hello, I want to buy an RTX 3060 that uses PCI-E 4.0, but I have an MSI B450M-A PRO MAX motherboard which has a PCI-E 3.0 slot. I would like to know if this graphics card is compatible with my motherboard, but more importantly, will I lose performance by using a 3.0 slot instead of a 4.0 slot?

PCI-Express ports are backward compatible. This means that a GPU with a PCIe 4.0 port should work on a motherboard with a PCIe 3.0 port and vice versa.

Hello, yes it will be compatible, and the performance loss is minimal.
