WiFi repeater over powerline between two apartments

Hello,

I have a question regarding wifi. I have an internet box connected to a powerline adapter. Can I let my neighbor connect to my wifi by using a powerline adapter to which he connects a wifi extender?

It seems to me that we are on the same electrical network, but I am not sure if it would work????

    The PLC is active on the electrical network behind the meter. Do you only have one meter shared with your neighbor?

    If he sees your Wi-Fi network, that could be enough if you give him the code. But you are taking a risk; he could connect to your devices (there may be a guest Wi-Fi network on the box to prevent this) and especially in case of illegal use (downloading, statements contrary to the law, ...) it's your subscription, you are responsible.

    The idea behind the powerline adapter is to lose as little as possible.

    Can the wifi repeater work on its own?

    In his living room, he barely picks up the signal and it's not stable at all.

    My neighbor is an elderly gentleman who uses the internet very little and the few TNT channels are enough for him. So I suggested he cancel his subscription and I let him use my wifi ????

      The wifi extender does indeed allow you to extend the wifi signal. It should be placed in a location where the reception is good and ideally halfway between the box and the neighbor's living room. After that, the reduction in reception quality is related to distance and the thickness and composition of the walls.
