5GHz network unavailable (TP-LINK Archer T3U)

Hello,
I recently purchased the TP-LINK Archer T3U wifi adapter. It works very well with my router that is on 2.4GHz, but when I try to connect it to my 4G hotspot which is on 2.4GHz or 5GHz, it does not work when I set the hotspot to 5GHz. However, it works on 2.4GHz. How can I enable 5GHz on the wifi adapter?
