Hello,
I hadn't logged into my Facebook account for quite some time.
Last week, when I tried to go back, I came across the message: "Connection approval required
We noticed a login from an unusual browser, device, or location. We need to confirm that it is really you in order to access Facebook." (even though it's still the same PC).
So I went through the whole process: confirmation code from my email address, account recovery code, video selfie, and photo of my ID.
I know, from research, that many people have this problem.
However, the message I received is nothing like those mentioned by others...
I don't know if it's me who has problems understanding French or if it's Facebook that expresses itself strangely, but here’s what they sent me:
Subject: Thank you for submitting your ID
"Hello,
We cannot grant you access to this account or respond to your request until we have received an accepted format ID that confirms the information provided on the account.
To find out which types of IDs are accepted, please check the help pages at:
https://www.facebook.com/help/159096464162185/?ref=cr
Sincerely,
The Facebook team"
Knowing that I did send my ID, I don't understand if they mean they haven't reviewed my case yet, or if what I sent is not suitable. But in that case, why the "Thank you for submitting your ID"?
So, I don't know if I can expect to recover my account soon or not, nor what I need to do. I need your help.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
This is a standard phrase like those used in administrations...
As for the rest, it's very clear that you need to provide the ID again in the correct format as explained.
For your information, the response time from Facebook following the submission of the form can vary from three weeks to several months for a potential account reopening.
And sometimes, in certain cases, there may be no response, and the account remains permanently closed.

A little thank you note is always appreciated...

So, it’s ridiculous of them to say "Thank you for submitting your identity document"!
And why say "We noticed a connection from an unusual browser, device or location" when it’s the same place and the same computer as during my registration and my previous logins?
Honestly, I think they’re abusing! Not to mention that I don’t understand why it takes so long to get a response, especially since the verification could be done automatically, without relying on the goodwill of humans who are more or less motivated.
