Hello,
The internet indicator on my Live Box is flashing rapidly all the time (the 3 little squares)
What worries me is that it does it even when I am disconnected from the internet
Is this normal?

Hi

It's mainly because the box is not connected to the internet that this light is flashing.

Hi,
I assume this is a Livebox2 and that the light with three squares is the "local network status"

The fact that this light is blinking is, all in all, perfectly normal when the box is connected to a working computer.

Hi

Certainly, it’s that term Internet psychic that misled me

Are there still any LB2s in service? :-) ??

Yes, it is indeed the local network indicator light
Normally, this light should not blink if I am not connected to the internet

From the moment the PC is turned on, it is present on the local network and therefore connects automatically with other devices on the network, like the Livebox in this case, allowing for exchange between the two.
Exchanges indicated by the blinking.
For me, this blinking is normal.

Moreover, what makes you say that you are not connected to the internet?
I admit that you may not be connected to a website on the internet, but if the box is on, it is certainly connected to a server somewhere... that of your ISP.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...
