Hello community :)
I'm trying to connect a USB Wi-Fi adapter on my Mac (Nekan ac1200Mbps)
I downloaded the driver from the official website, but nothing works.. my Mac doesn’t recognize the USB key.
I searched in the system report and it appears in the USB section.
But nothing in my Finder or desktop...
Thanks everyone

Hello,

The official site? Do you have a link? Because I can't see one...
It seems to be a Realtek controller, try the driver available on this page: https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter#readme
(v14 at the bottom of the page)

Best regards.

Thank you for your help, the installation failed, it's asking me to contact the publisher..
the official site: https://www.aigital.com/xz (for the driver on this site, the installation was successful but my Mac still doesn’t recognize my key.. I’ve looked at many sites and still haven’t found an answer)
thank you.

So on my first link there is a reference to this page for the correct driver (https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter, but there are prerequisites you need to follow everything ...) → Identical to my second link.

Hello,

This Wifi dongle (NEKAN WiFi Key, USB 3.0 AC 1200Mbps Adapter, 802.11) seems well made for a USB3.. obviously, if it claims 1200Mbps, it needs at least USB3 otherwise that speed is not possible...
So, do you have USB3 on this machine..??

Then it should be noted that 1200 megabits rarely works... except in a laboratory or in fields where there is no electromagnetic pollution... Here, I have my doubts

This device must be capable of "Wifi 802.11 ac" and that's not everyone..

Furthermore, for all this to work, the Box/Modem must be able to communicate with 802.11ac at 1200 megabits or below... here, we don't even know the color of the BOX... let alone its brand and model

All the arguments are in place for poor performance...
