USB key on Samsung TV

when I plug a USB flash drive into my Samsung TV, it is recognized but I can't see the content, same for an external hard drive

    Some TVs have a service USB port that is only used for that.

    Others are designed for hotels, with the USB mode locked; unlocking it depends on the model, for example:

    But without the TV model and its origin, we are just talking in vain.
