Canon scanner LiDE 100 and Windows 11

I managed to get my Canon LiDE 110 scanner working on Windows 11 by doing the following. However, I'm not sure which part is relevant. It didn't work at first, with the same type of error code as Motor-Sentence582.

• install Vuescan from Hamrick, accepting their driver installation
• uninstall Vuescan - at this stage, there were 2 drivers on my computer: the Microsoft one, named CanoScan LiDE 110 which worked, and the Hamrick one, named Cano LiDE 110 which didn't work (use the device manager to change the driver: on the device, properties, driver, update driver, browse my computer, choose from a list of available drivers)
• when I plugged in the scanner after restarting, the wrong driver was selected, so I had to remove the "Cano LiDE 110" driver: in the device manager, uninstall the device and check the box "remove the driver"

The fact that it worked with the original driver after installing/uninstalling Vuescan from Hamrick and their driver is illogical. I can't explain it to myself.
