TV won't turn on without the remote!

Hello,

I bought a Universal urc22b remote, but my TV won't turn on without the remote. How do I connect the remote to the TV so that it turns on? It has the little red dot to change to green (on), but it stays red. With the buttons on the TV, even the power button doesn't work properly because when I press it, the dot turns green but only for a few seconds before going back to red. I bought the remote just to at least turn on the TV! Can you help me?
Configuration: Android / Chrome 96.0.4664.45

Hello,

We can't answer that... you also need to know the brand and model of the TV... at a minimum.

Usually, all your TVs have a system to turn them on and change channels without a remote control... You must not have read the entire manual... Carefully.

Thank you for your quick response
It's Toshiba.
But the button on the TV to turn it on goes from green to red in a few seconds. With the old remote, we managed to turn it on, but the 'little light' on the remote is broken, so today I bought a universal one, but it asks to turn on the TV? But how?

So your television is a Toshiba... Model 32LV675D your photo is upside down and seems incomplete, we can't see the ports on the back...or the buttons on the side.

Here’s what is written on page 12 of the manual

https://www.modesdemploi.fr/toshiba/32lv675d/mode-d-emploi?p=12

If the red light does not turn on, check that the television's power plug is properly connected to the mains and press the button ! (POWER) on the left side of the television to turn it on. If you don’t get an image, press button 1 on the remote and wait a moment. The GREEN LIGHT turns on.

I conclude that the light is red after plugging in the power supply and turns green when the TV is turned on... you don’t seem to know how it works.
-- In any case, there is indeed a power button (without remote control) on the left side of the television..

If it then turns red again immediately, it means you have a malfunction in your TV.

It doesn't work..... Yes, I have a TV malfunction with just the green light staying on. It used to work well with a crappy remote

But it detached. It lasted 10 years, exactly like this

This is what broke...(Used only to turn it on, as after that the PS4 takes over) I just want to be able to turn it on

Your URC22B universal remote, I don't know it, you'll need to check the manual that comes with it..
See here https://www.fichier-pdf.fr/2013/10/08/urc22/

I showed you how to turn it on with the button on the left side... it should work.??

For your "worthless" remote, all of that didn't happen by itself..

Clearly, the infrared LED that sends the commands is broken or unsoldered, you just need to put it back in place (in D1), in the right direction and solder it onto the circuit board......Find a good handy friend, and he will take care of it... It’s a soldering job with tin done with a soldering iron.

Thank you.
I tried with tape for 2 days... and now the infrared LED is really broken. The old remote is finished. Trash. The side buttons only work for 1 second, turning from red to green. But the green disappears and goes back to red without even the TV turning on so that I can activate the universal remote...
What do I do?
Please
Thank you
Happy holidays

Good evening
The universal remote control you have is probably not compatible with our model of TV

To keep it simple, you can:

Buy a new original remote (the same as the original one)
It's not a universal remote but the same as the original
See here: 20€ https://www.cdiscount.com/high-tech/accessoires/telecommande-originale-pour-toshiba-32av625d/f-1062810-tos3662563112636.html?cid=search_txt&cm_mmc=TXT%21COR%21INF%21%211507129123%21dsa_l9109655_tdsa-474269987748_a57501252185&gclid=CjwKCAiAhreNBhAYEiwAFGGKPP4cQfYYcZ-ODvN93xS4FIcFC3rA_OiVKMUM_o62-JE93nMuRuaKXxoCu0EQAvD_BwE

The same for even cheaper: 10 €

https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Tout-neuf-Remplacement-TV-Telecommande-TOSHIBA-32LV675D-/182185892292?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=709-53476-19255-0&campid=5338666530&toolid=10044&customid=CjwKCAiAhreNBhAYEiwAFGGKPGIBM69lFrpv5MSKJ2uhEWTEFbn2tTOQkzXOHtjwZ5tFM0n896yGhBoCus4QAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAiAhreNBhAYEiwAFGGKPGIBM69lFrpv5MSKJ2uhEWTEFbn2tTOQkzXOHtjwZ5tFM0n896yGhBoCus4QAvD_BwE
And also on Amazon, in short, with a little search, you can find one for cheap

You can also, and this is free for now

Go to the Play Store from your mobile phone (Android) or Apple Store (Apple) and download a virtual remote, and use your phone as a replacement remote
You need to test several applications because not all have the same functions and/or will work.

Wow, thank you very much. The phone? With the TV on standby?!? Okay... I'm going to try it. Thanks!

Good evening,
I indicated the power on with the button on the left side... it should work.??

I confirm...
Personally, I have a Toshiba and when it's in standby, pressing the buttons on the front turns the TV on...

No. It's not working. The light turns green for a few seconds and then goes back to red... without even turning on the TV so that I can perform the setup for the new universal remote. What should I do? Will a TOSHIBA remote turn it on (like, right away?)
Thanks????

In that case, you need to see a repair technician for a quote.
