Hello,
For years, I have never been able to get green dots on Messenger and Facebook. All the settings are in place. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, removed and re-added the active status... basically, nothing works... I can't find the solution...
Please help me

Could you please confirm that you have followed these steps:
Directly from the Messenger app:
Open the app > at the top left, you will see your profile picture, tap on it > a window with your profile will appear > Tap on the "Online Status" button > slide the switch to the right so that it becomes blue.
If this technique hasn’t worked, I suggest you go directly to Facebook via your computer.
From Facebook (on PC):
Go to the Facebook site, if you're logged in, you will access your news feed. On the right side, there is a vertical column grouping some of your contacts. Click on the 3 little dots, a window will pop up > Click on "Turn online status on/off" > if your status is off, you should be able to click on the "Turn online status on for all your contacts" button and confirm by clicking OK.
