Hello,
At the output of the box SFR, in the living room, I installed a powerline adapter as well as in the lounge. The camera works connected to the powerline adapter.
To avoid drilling a wall of 80cm, I installed a powerline adapter in the lounge. It works well.
To avoid having 2 cables (electric & RJ45) between the camera and the powerline adapter, I installed a SPLITTER between the camera and the powerline socket, reducing the number of cluttering wires.
Nothing works!!!
Where is my mistake and lack of knowledge???

Hello,
I don't see what type of splitter you have installed, give its characteristics/reference.
Because an RJ45 splitter makes no sense on a powerline adapter, and splitters always work in pairs.

as already mentioned by JP, what do you mean by a splitter, especially when you talk about removing one of the two power or RJ45 cables...
Aren't you rather referring to a POE injector? Or rather its opposite, which is indeed called a splitter?
But anyway, POE in PLC modems, forget it, you need a real Ethernet cable for that, and you need an injector before the splitter.
Or a switch with POE ...
