Hello,
I need help finding the WPS code for my HP ENVY 4527 printer that I want to connect to my Lenovo AMD A6 computer.

Hi

The WPS code doesn't exist

It's a protocol for exchanging the wifi security key between a device and a Wifi provider (usually your router)

To connect directly to a PC (or a smartphone), it's Wifi_Direct, and you can find the code (PIN code) in the printer's documentation or on the printer itself

On mine, HP Deskjet 2700, it's located in the access panel inside to change the ink cartridges

Generally, we prefer to connect the printer to the router; otherwise (Wifi_Direct), it consumes the PC's Wifi connection, and we lose access to the local network and consequently to the Internet.

Thank you Kaumune for your response. Here is the complete problem. The Jean Moulin College in La Norville, Essonne, donated a Lenovo computer to all 6th-grade students. When my son started his computer, he filled out all the questionnaires including the Wi-Fi key (I have a Freebox). Then the next question was: What is the WPS PIN code for the printer? It was impossible to proceed with the setup of this computer without the correct answer. It is also impossible to print anything from this computer without the answer to that question. So where is the problem? I really need to understand. Thank you in advance for your help.

For more information, see the user manual and/or the HP support page for this printer (especially the HP Smart utility and video tutorials)

By the way, setting up a printer does not prevent a PC from being powered on; you should be able to bypass it

Does the college not provide any support for setting up this equipment?

I apologize for the delay in my response as I was traveling for an extended period (2 months).
Upon my return, I discovered that the school, by giving this computer to the students, has limited its use to only the purposes directed by the administration. The student can't even download applications.
Thank you very much nonetheless for your assistance and for the effort you put in.
