Total AdBlock

Hello and sorry to bother you again with the same question! What is the "silent mode" in this matter? It’s not a smartphone. I don’t understand anything about what is being suggested to remove this damn "Total AdBlock." I had this issue a few months ago, I think someone told me to uninstall Chrome.... but Chrome works with Google if I'm not mistaken? And if I reinstalled Chrome, it’s because I needed to do so but I don’t remember why??? What should I really do safely, please? This little "No ads" window is driving me up the wall, I have to close it almost every second! It’s like a real parasite!
And what should we think of the so-called "free" blockers?

Indeed, this question will likely be asked of you more than once, as I wasn't raised with computers (I'm 77 years old); I've been "surfing" for 21 years now without always understanding if I'm doing things right or wrong!!! Moreover, the answers are often incomprehensible to me (some of the terms used are technical jargon)...such as when I'm told about "32 bits" or "64 bits" etc. There used to be a certain "Larégie" (Jean Renaud) in this forum about 15 years ago, with whom I had become friends, and who became my "coach": he was extraordinary, he never counted his time to help me by phone or via "team Viewer," even going as far as traveling the 200 kilometers that separated us to work alone on my computer, which was becoming a tool free of everything unnecessary...This extraordinary friend passed away, unfortunately, in 2015 at the age of only 71! I found myself completely lost, not knowing who to turn to, since my children don't take care of me!
I always fear doing things wrong, which is why, recently, I uninstalled Google Chrome, because I thought I remembered someone telling me here to do so in order to no longer be bothered with those annoying and intrusive windows talking about that damn "Adblock"...But nothing changed, so I reinstalled Google.
Please excuse my many questions that seem to bother you; it’s just that I still hope to receive a clear and direct answer that speaks to me in simple words that I can understand. It's not the silent mode.

I haven't seen any options to disable notifications.

And if you click on it, it leads to purchasing the premium version. (financial motive) The developers aren't born yesterday.

I think I'm going to move on from this ad blocker after testing it. It's already done.

Silent mode is to prevent push notifications from appearing
from Google for example or from social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for instance.

On this subject, I have a practical guide from CCM that I made if you have W10 ==► Notifications and constant advertising suggestions on Windows 10

Yvonne you have much simpler ad blockers

For Chrome:

--► uBlock

-► AdGuard AdBlocker which I use.

Avoid Adblock or Adblock Plus as they do not filter all ads due to commercial agreements with certain websites.

Uninstall the Total AdBlock extension immediately as it is not 100% reliable, you can return to it later if the developer has made notable changes or improvements, but I believe it is currently pushing to buy the premium version and perhaps removing these constant notifications.

Remove the Total AdBlock extension ==► remove an extension on Google Chrome
Clear everything in the Google Chrome address bar and copy/paste --► chrome://extensions/
Remove the Total AdBlock extension.

Or with Revo
Section ==► Browser Extensions


If you don't see it in Revo (Extensions), go to --►All Programs (In Revo)
