Connecting RODE microphone to an iPad Pro

Hello,

I'm trying to connect my Rode Videomic Pro microphone to an iPad Pro (2015) to record sound directly on the iPad.
If I understand correctly, the microphone's mini jack is a TRS (attached photo) and the iPad's jack input only accepts TRRS (attached photo of the iPad, I don't know if this is helpful!).
I thought I would need to buy a TRS to TRRS SC4 adapter from Rode. Do you think that will be enough?
Or in addition, will I also need a mini jack to lightning adapter to connect directly to the charger input...

What do you think?
Thank you in advance! :)

    Hello,

I would tend to confirm that you need the Rode adapter.
I have a Rode lavalier microphone, and for it to work on an iPhone, you need the adapter.
So for the iPad, it would logically be the same.

    See you later

Thank you for your reply! In the case of a lapel mic for iPhone like yours, didn't you need a jack to lightning adapter?

No, because it was on an iPhone with a headphone jack.
Now, on the "new ones," it’s mandatory, as there is no more headphone jack.
