Hello, I would like to know if I have the right to install a JBL Bluetooth speaker on my scooter. I want to know if it is allowed in case of arrest. Thank you.

Configuration: Android / Chrome 88.0.4324.152

Hello
As long as it's not earbuds or headphones, it seems allowed...
However, you shouldn't turn the volume too high when you're in an urban area.

And personally... I think it looks tacky... but well, to each their own...

Best regards,

Hi Jordane,

What do you think of bikers who have a motorcycle pre-equipped with audio gear like the Honda Goldwing or some Harley-Davidsons? Does that come off as tacky too? Ha ha ha ;-)

Personally, I don’t care because I ride a sportbike ;-)

Best regards, have a good evening and take care ;-)

Harley, Honda, BMW or others... It doesn't matter..
And generally, they have helmets equipped with audio and communication systems... They rarely listen to rap or techno while riding at 45 in the neighborhoods.. :-)

Re,

BMW and the others, I don't know, but I know from experience that Harley and Goldwing bikes are equipped with speakers ;-)

Front (Pig Nose) Harley
Rear (Top case) Harley
Front Honda Goldwing
Rear Honda Goldwing
And I can tell you that when the nice days come back, it's rock 'n' roll all the way, you can hear them coming from afar ;-)

Okay, on these machines it's installed as standard for some models, there's no danger for driving since you still look at the road and the mirrors while riding...

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed/tolerated on a scooter even if it’s not part of standard or optional equipment... that said, you shouldn't have your eyes glued to your smartphone while riding, you choose your playlist, start it up, and then just listen, no need to mess around every minute while riding ;-)

Best regards and good luck ;-)
