Good evening everyone!
I had a question regarding my RAM choice for a laptop I just bought. It comes with 16GB of 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM, and I have 32 GB Corsair CMSX32GX4M2A2666C18 Vengeance 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666 MHz RAM in my possession. Is there a better alternative than the other?
Thanks in advance and have a good evening!

If the current RAM in your laptop actually has a frequency of 3200MHz and you replace it with 2666MHz, the speed of the RAM will be slowed down. But it all depends on how you use your laptop. For common uses, 16GB is more than enough. However, if you use your laptop for memory-intensive tasks, such as image processing, 32GB at 266MHz may be more advantageous than 16GB at 3200MHz.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your response! I checked the specifications of my computer https://www.comparez-malin.fr/informatique/pc-portable/asus-rog-strix-g17-g712lws-ev002t.html and it indeed states that it has 16 GB of RAM at 3200 MHz. I mainly use it for gaming, so it could be interesting to use my 32 GB of RAM at 2666 MHz, if I understand correctly? ????
Thanks again and have a great day! ????

So there's no point in going to 32GB of 2666MHz.
