Blue Yeti microphone not recognized by Windows 10 Solved

Question

Hello everyone,  I have had a Blue Yeti microphone for about 3 or 4 years now. It worked very well, it has never had any issues, no malfunctions or damage. I take great care of my belongings and I very rarely break anything. But for about a week now, my microphone is no longer detected by Windows. I changed the USB cable connecting it to the PC, updated the drivers, spent several hours on various internet pages and Windows, and all I found was "Code 45", which means the device is not connected. In the device manager, when I requested to see hidden devices, it was present. I thought that by uninstalling the drivers, it would start working again, but no. Now Windows has no trace of its existence. The most alarming thing is that the red light indicating it is powered and active is on.  Do you have any ideas? Hello, I found this and translated it, maybe you've already done it...?  "Please check if the issue is due to the microphone not being recognized by trying a different USB port, a different USB cable, and another computer first.   If the microphone works on another computer, the problem may come from the drivers on your current computer. If it doesn't work after trying a new cable, port, and computer, please create a support ticket and we will be happy to assist you.  If the microphone is not recognized in your Sound menu, we can check its recognition in your Device Manager. You can find the Device Manager by typing “Device Manager” in your Windows search box. Expand your list of sound, video and game controllers in your Device Manager to reveal your drivers. Right-click on a driver other than your Blue Mic, select “Update Driver Software,” select “Search automatically for updated driver software,” and then wait for the finish prompt to appear. Repeat these steps for each driver in addition to your Blue Mic under Sound, video and game controllers. This updates the audio drivers on your computer.   If you have a custom machine, please contact the manufacturer for driver updates.  Your Blue Mic driver may have a yellow exclamation mark.   Right-click on your Blue Mic driver.  Select “Update Driver Software.”  Select “Search automatically for updated driver software.”  Wait for the installation and finish prompt.  Check if your microphone is listed under the Recording tab in the Sound menu.  Follow the next steps if the above steps did not work.  If your Blue Mic driver still has a yellow exclamation mark, we can try to manually select a driver.   Right-click on your Blue Mic driver.  Select “Browse my computer for driver software.”  Select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.”  Select USB Audio Device, then click Next.  Wait for the installation and finish prompt.  If successful, you should find your microphone listed under the Recording tab in the Sound menu.  Follow the next steps if the above steps did not work.  If your Blue Mic driver still has a yellow exclamation mark, we can try reinstalling the driver.   Right-click on your Blue Mic driver.  Select Uninstall. The Sherpa application doesn't detect it either, and I tried on another computer, nothing. I think I have to come to terms with the idea that my microphone has passed away, but I don't understand why the red light turns on then...  Thanks anyway  PS: I'm using Windows 10

Hmm it's still a bit strange your story, indeed, as you say "why does the red light come on ... "  We agree that it's powered only by USB ??  Do you remember when it stopped working ??  Because it would be interesting to restore Windows before that date, just to see if there was a Windows update that caused the mess... Alright, let's forget about the restoration. In my search, I found that this microphone is known for the fragility of its USB port...
