Canon MG2550S USB Installation on Linux
Solved
Hello everyone!
I would like to install my mg2550s usb printer on my Chromebook running Linux, but no matter how many times I try, I can't find any installation driver, the extensions I've downloaded are useless, and I think I'm complicating things more than necessary, can someone explain to me?
Thank you!

Hello
If it's a Chromebook, it's equipped with Chrome OS, which is not Linux (even though it has a Linux kernel).
It would be so much easier if it were Linux!
Only a few printers (notably HP) can be connected directly via USB to a Chromebook. For the others, there is currently no possibility to install drivers.
On the other hand, network or remote printers are perfectly recognized.
At home, my Brother laser printer is connected to a PC and shared on the network. It doesn’t work when connected directly via USB to the Chromebook, so I use it as a remote printer.

The same problem with scanners; although there is a scanning app in the Play Store, it doesn't work even if the printer is on the network. For now, the only way to scan is through the smartphone and Drive... not great!
