HDMI ports fried by lightning

Hello,

Following a storm, the HDMI ports on my SAMSUNG TV have fried.

Do I need to replace the TV? Can they be changed?

Thank you for your advice.

    Hello

HDMI ports are soldered onto a motherboard, so if they're faulty, the entire board needs to be replaced.
However, this board often costs nearly the price of the TV. It can also be repaired by a qualified electronics technician.

Is the DTT reception working? Black screen? Because a storm often blows out the power supply.

      Thank you for your response
Yes, the rest works, I can watch TV with the TNT antenna.
It would be better for me to buy a new Wtv then.

strange that the HDMIs are down but not the TNT
Have you used multiple devices to test the HDMIs? Have you changed the HDMI cable?

before buying again, get quotes for motherboard replacement. (or if you are handy, ask for the price of the card; it’s easy to replace)

      Yes, try on my laptop
      I'm not very handy
The USB socket works too. And try with another cable with SFR. The TV decoder doesn't work
      Weird

Reset your TV in the settings + HDMI tests
otherwise (depending on the age and price of your TV) ask for quotes for motherboard exchange/repair or change your TV.
