Using headphones with the app

Hello,
I have a digital keyboard with a headphone jack and a micro USB (MIDI) port.
I am learning to play with the Simply Piano app on my phone. The app recognizes the sound of the notes.
My problem: I would like to play with headphones so I don't disturb the neighbors, but of course, when I plug the headphones into the keyboard, the app no longer hears the notes played. What should I do?
If I manage to connect my phone to the keyboard and the headphones at the same time, will that work?

Indeed, I made a mistake in my explanation message:
THE HEADSET MUST BE CONNECTED TO YOUR TABLET
Once everything is connected, the sound of the piano will come out of the tablet and the piano. You need to lower the piano sound to zero (or plug a jack into the piano so that you don't hear it, depending on the model). You will adjust the sound directly in the app.
All of this only works with a MIDI connection!
