Ctrl + Shift + N does not create a new folder.

Question

Hello,  As stated in the title, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + N is not creating a new folder for me. Instead, it opens an "MD5" window.  I would like to revert to the classic shortcut that creates a new folder, but I don't know how to do that.  For your information,  - Windows 10  - this "MD5" window does not have a menu where I could find more information  - looking at the task manager, I can't find this application  - ... AAAAAAAAAAAAH this is so frustrating!  Thank you for your help :-)

Hello,  Try using the Shift key instead of Caps Lock. Which gives:  Ctrl + Shift + N    A+ -- pistouri

Hello,  If possible, change the Caps Lock key parameter so that it becomes Shift. It needs to be given another path while remaining operational.  Go to Settings → Devices Click in the menu on → Input In the right-hand section at the bottom, click on the line → Advanced keyboard settings Click on the line → Language bar options Go to the tab → Advanced key settings Select → Press the CAPS LOCK key Then OK.   Then try to create a new folder with →  Ctrl + Shift + N or  Ctrl + Caps Lock + N  A+ -- surgical knife

Manip done: it was already set up like that :-/  Actually, I think a custom shortcut was created "on top of" this default shortcut. I don't know how to find and delete this custom shortcut.  Thank you, pistouri, for your answers.

Reset the keyboard.  Resetting your wireless keyboard:  If you have a wireless keyboard, the steps for resetting it are slightly different from those for resetting a wired keyboard.To reset a wireless keyboard:Turn off your keyboard.Once the keyboard is off, hold down the Escape key.While holding down the Escape key, turn the keyboard back on.After about 5 seconds, release the Escape key. I have a wired keyboard. I would say it's a Windows configuration.  It's on my work PC, whose master is managed by the group's IT department. My other colleagues don't have this issue.  P.S.: good luck with the painful tooth.

The keyboard can be uninstalled from the device manager.  Or remove it from Settings → Devices → Bluetooth and other devices Complete shutdown of the PC, unplug the USB keyboard Restart and plug it back in.  → My other colleagues don’t have this issue You must have a keyboard lying around here and there in your 'business'  P.S.: It's worse than expected with my tooth, I have an abscess on top of that and a tooth next to it has loosened because of it. I went this morning for an emergency appointment in between my responses with you, that damn injection hurts a lot, and ham/puree + antibiotics for 5 days. I have another appointment on Monday because after that it's the dentist's holidays, too bad for another injection if there is one!  See you later -- pistouri
