Is there a way to trace back to the source - the producer - of a PDF?
And how?

    Hello,

    You need to edit the PDF metadata.
    The necessary tools are generally paid (Acrobat, Foxit PhantomPDF).

    You can also use an online service:
    https://www.fichier-pdf.fr/editeur-de-metadonnees-pdf/

    The service provides the document's metadata. It also allows you to edit it (possibly delete it) and then save the changes.

      It only gives me the software that created the file, which is Writer from LibreOffice 6.3.
      Is there any way to get more details?

        Another site that reads metadata: https://www.metadata2go.com/

        It provides a bit more information, but essentially, it doesn’t do any better. It should not be forgotten that this metadata can be deleted intentionally.
