Hello,
I have been trying for several days to find the method to insert a logo or a watermark into a video using Avidemux (excellent software by the way), but the only post I found gives information that I can't find in my version. Do you know how I should proceed? Thank you for your attention.

Configuration: Linux / Firefox 75.0

    Hello,

First of all, you don't have the latest version of Avidemux even for Linux, but it might be a personal choice: http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/download.html

To add a logo on Linux, it seems to be the same as how to do it on Windows: https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1319691

For me, it goes like this:

If it's like on my version (2.7.5 Windows), I'll explain the different criteria and then post an illustration in the image:

    Notes:
    - The location of the filter might be different on your end, so keep searching until you find it.
    - The logo will be present for the entire duration of the video, so if you only want it for a moment in your video, Avidemux is not the software to use.

    Best regards

Good evening, I am trying to integrate a logo (in png format) into a video using Avidemux. I followed the protocol you described. However, I have an error message that says "Codec Internal error finding codec AV_CODEC_ID_PNG". The application encounters a fatal problem and closes. Do you know why?

        Hello Lili,
        I have no idea |-)

So, I've just updated my version of Avidemux and I don't seem to have this problem: http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/download.html

This is apparently a known bug in older versions of the software, but it seems to have been fixed since then.
Check Google (it’s often in English): https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Codec+Internal+error+finding+codecAV_CODEC_ID_PNG

Alternatively, you could also try using images in a format other than PNG like BMP or JPG, for example.

        Best regards.
