your PC is stuck on the BIOS!!
The BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is a small program located in several types of different memories: part of it is in a ROM (Read Only Memory), this part is non-modifiable (it is the boot block). The second part of the BIOS is located in a memory whose content can be modified (the EEPROM). It is this part that we modify when we talk about "flashing." The third part of the BIOS is in the CMOS memory; this memory contains all the BIOS settings. Clearing this memory is safe (when you remove the battery from the motherboard, you clear the CMOS memory), but all the BIOS settings will need to be reconfigured!
