Hello everyone!

I have a problem that I can't understand, despite numerous internet searches...

I have a Samsung B2230HD TV, a bit old granted, but it works very well! Except for the last few days where it shows me the following message when I try to open my external HDD "No content found." The TV recognizes the hard drive, it appears in the devices, but I can't access the files. I checked, it's a WD My Passport 2TB in NTFS, and there are all kinds of files on it, avi, wmv, mkv, etc. I have another older My Passport hard drive that works perfectly on the TV and is also in NTFS. It's hard to understand since I seem to have read files with my new hard drive on my TV before...

If anyone has an explanation, I would appreciate it!!

Hello,
Yes, there is no problem with the PC, the TV keeps telling me "No video file on this device," the same for photos and audio files... Could it be due to the USB connection between the HDD and the TV?
I don't know much about USB, but my HDD has a blue connector (type 3.0?) while the one on my television is gray (type 2.0?).

    How to know about MBR or GPT? I can't find it in the properties of my hard drive.
    I transferred a movie in .mkv format to my old hard drive, which works on the TV, but the file format is not supported by the TV ("unknown file format"), even though I remember having successfully played this type of file before; I just didn't have access to the language and subtitle choices...

    For MBR or GPT, go to "Disk Management"
    menu > view > top > disk list
    the MKV format, like the AVI format, are containers and not codecs
    you can have, for example, an AVI file with codec (MPEG) or an AVI file with codec (XVID)
    if the codec is not recognized by the TV, you cannot play it

    Hello, sorry for my delayed response, I had a hard time finding the format of my disk :P
    So in disk management, my hard drive appears as a partition type "GPT", while the others (disks C and E if I understood correctly, included in the computer) are in MBR.
