Location issue on Instagram story

Hello,
I haven't found any discussion forums regarding my issue.
I have a few small bugs on Instagram that aren't crippling but are somewhat frustrating.
One of them is that I can no longer add a location to my story.
Let me explain. I go to "location," select the desired place, and Instagram just takes me back to my photo without the location, and sometimes it even appears for less than a second and then disappears.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app thinking that would solve the problem, but nothing works.
If you have any solutions, I would appreciate it.
