How to test TV cables and amplifiers with a multimeter for signal integrity
Hello,
I no longer receive TNT, no signal. Antenna on the roof
With a multimeter
How can I test
- if the cable is cut, the other end is on the roof
- the power supply of the 24v amplifier in the living room, fuse ok
Is there a voltage to measure on the output plug that goes to the TV
Is it 24v on the central wire+ and the metal mesh outside?..
Or another way to test the antenna inaccessible on the roof
Thank you

I wanted to test the wire with an ohmmeter, but it's impossible as the other end is connected to the antenna. To see if I have a return
So there's no return current on the plug going to the TV to check if the amplifier on the antenna is dead
I can't therefore test the power supply going to the antenna?

But you can test at the output of the power supply.
