Hello,
here is the goal of the exercise: access data remotely from a "server" Windows 7 machine from a Windows 10 client PC.
On the client side, I installed the VPN from ORANGE and configured it (in nomadic mode on the box side), the connection between the client machine and the livebox is OK (I can access the Box's administration).
In terms of ports, I opened the UDP ports 500 and 4500 with the IP address of the device from which to access the data. However, in application/service, I edited the rules under the name L2TP (not provided originally) because I don't know what to choose.
The problem is that I can't access the data on the server machine.
Thank you for shedding some light on the subject.
Best regards
Raphaël
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 68.0

Hi,
it would be better if the VPN ends on another livebox on the server side, not on the server.
I advise you to forget about this Orange VPN which is mainly designed to be set up between 2 lbx and to create an OpenVPN between client and server.

and ... There you go!-
Hello,
thank you for this quick reply. Is it the same principle as the one from ORANGE??
Do we need to install it on the client PC? Do we need to configure the LiveBox? And on the server side, how does the connection work? Do we need to install it on both sides?
thank you- Lecture :

In this example, they choose port 1194 (the default OpenVPN port) in UDP; if it is filtered by a firewall, you can choose other ports like 53 (DNS) or 443 (HTTPS) TCP that firewalls usually allow through.
On a box or router on the server side, simply forward this port to the local address of the server.
It needs to be installed on both sides and the certificates generated on the server side.
