Unable to connect to the FTP server with Filezilla

Hello,

I have a connection issue with the server when I try to access the files of my WordPress site hosted on 1&1 using Filezilla.

I am entering the correct host, the correct port, and the correct credentials, but nothing works... I'm starting to get desperate.

The two error messages always display:

Error: Connection closed after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Unable to establish a connection to the server

What else can I do to finally access the files of my site???

    Hello,

    The FTP management is not done at the site level... but at the hosting level.
    So... one solution... Check with your host....(which we know nothing about since you haven't named it)

      I specified that the site is hosted on 1&1 Ionos.

        Log in to your 1&1 interface
        and go to your FTP administration.
        Try to create a new one if possible....

        Otherwise, contact 1&1 for assistance in fixing the issue.
