      Hello,
      Try installing the driver without plugging in the printer. Only connect the printer after the installation.
      If it still doesn't work, download "HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows" from the same page as the driver: "HP Print and Scan Doctor was designed by HP to provide users with the capabilities to troubleshoot many common problems encountered with HP print/scan devices connected to a Windows-based computer. Just launch the tool and follow the on-screen instructions."
