The Wi-Fi icon in the notification bar has disappeared.

Hello,

Today I am reaching out to you because I have an issue. My icon, (or the network suggestion if you prefer.) is no longer displaying. Naturally, I will reactivate it, Control Panel, all that stuff. I open the system icons menu, and I see the sound icon, the battery, the clock, and the WIFI too, but the problem is that the button that allows us to access its display options "is not available," it is grayed out and can no longer be "clicked." A little help would be appreciated. Thank you. (In case you would like a screenshot, I can send it to you via email.)

    so the wifi is working; it's just the icon

    right-click in an empty space on the taskbar -> properties -> customize and see if you can reactivate the icon

      I've already mentioned that it doesn't work. (In my very first paragraph). The button is grayish and doesn't press down. I can send you a screenshot by email if you want.

    hello two options to check
    in 1) look in the hidden icons little arrow near the clock then see if the icon is clickable
    in 2) check if the wifi is enabled, if not try to enable it with fn+f2 (or another key)

    in the device manager (from the desktop right click on computer->properties) check if you have any alerts, if so which one?
    maybe the driver needs to be updated
    maybe the driver just needs to be reinstalled
    anything else?

      To be honest, the arrow icon has also disappeared; I thought about it, don't worry. The second option has also disappeared. The Wi-Fi is activated since I am replying to your comment right now. Otherwise, I don't know how to reinstall/update the drivers. Thank you for trying anyway.

    Is it a desktop or a laptop?
    Can you at least disable/enable the Wi-Fi (for example, fn + Wi-Fi key or another key depending on the model)?

      No worries. It's a laptop. My theory is that there's a display issue. I've tried to access the small Wi-Fi menu through the settings, but when I click on it, it doesn't open, and also, there's no error message. Strange.
