Hello,
at 72 years old, and wanting to read magazines for free - or cheaply - I was recommended the site Bookis.
However, upon signing up, they are asking for my credit card details. Isn’t it dangerous? Thank you for your response.

Look on bookys
The name is similar to Bookis, only the spelling is different.

Tip:
Disable your ad blocker if you have one.
Take the 1fichier links when they are offered.
If you can't manage with 1fichier, check the solutions proposed here.

a little common sense, please.
“Reading for free” don’t you think magazines should be paid for?
Obviously, you shouldn’t give out your credit card.

You can always turn to books (not magazines) that have entered the public domain.

And then “Bookis” is a Swedish site that offers books in Swedish. Do you read Swedish fluently?

You should provide us with the link instead. Let me explain why.
There is a site bookis.com but it is all in Norwegian so I doubt that this is the one.
I found a second one which is les-bookies.fr but there is an extra "e" compared to the spelling you provided.
So in the end, which one is the correct one?
