Hello,
I would like to install a QUARTEK VISUAL-SOUND 5.1 soundbar; therefore, connect it to the TV (under Orange Livebox) and to the DVD player:
- what type of cable, connection, and inputs or outputs should be used? (see attached)
- what should be connected, to what, how?
… a diagram would be welcome!
… thank you, Best regards: MiJaoLaa, 46500

Configuration: QUARTEK Visual Sound 5.1.

Hello, sorry, please give us the available outputs of the television. I'm assuming you have an optical audio output to connect to the Quartec
a coaxial cable to provide the video stream coming from the TNT or decoder
a wire connecting the Quartec to the subwoofer for on-off
the DVD player connected to the television as before
I also assume you have a TV coaxial input to connect your TV stream and a coaxial output (standard TV cable) to connect the soundbar to the TV, which I call a bypass (input 13 output 15)
this avoids having to connect a cable directly from the decoder to the TV

Hello,
... thanking you for your attention and response:
The TV is a Samsung from 2014; see connections attached.
As previously mentioned, I'm trying to find out what types of cables I should use? And what input-output connections between the TV, the decoder, the DVD player, and the soundbar?
Kind regards: MiJaoLaa

Hello, I won't change anything except the DVD to TV via SCART

Hello,
… thank you for your educational patience:
- If I understood correctly, I need to prepare 4 cables:
an optical cable (square section?) between the soundbar and the TV? or between the soundbar and the Livebox decoder?
a coaxial cable (male and female?) between the TV and the Livebox decoder?
an HDMI cable (standard connectors, USB type) between the TV and the DVD player? (Note the DVD player only has an HDMI output)
a cable (what type?) between the soundbar and the subwoofer?
- PS at the "Quartek" seller, I noticed they were using an RCA cable (double, red and white) between the decoder and the soundbar (no DVD player): is that another method? should we forget it? …
Best regards: MiJaoLaa -
Hello, I don't see an HDMI on the television to connect the DVD player
1) if it does exist (HDMI 2.0 cable) in place of the SCART
2) standard coaxial cable male female from the decoder to TV in
3) for the cable for the soundbar subwoofer, it's a specific cable that's part of the set to allow for opening or closing the bass, I can't know
4) a normal optical fiber audio cord from TV to soundbar
an analog RCA audio cable is less efficient than a fiber optic connection
