Hello,

as a seasoned computer user and after 2 hours of research, I’m reaching out for help regarding my touchpad.

Indeed, it has stopped working, even when trying to activate it using the FN + 3 keys (I have an MSI running Win10).

I have tried updating the drivers (there is a little exclamation mark in device manager), uninstalling the device, reinstalling it with the latest drivers, but to no avail. The problem persists.

The status of the device in question is described as: "This device is not present, is not functioning properly, or all its drivers are not installed. (Code 24)"

I have also seen in the event details of the Synaptics SMBus Touchpad driver (the one for my touchpad) that my device apparently has a startup issue (a conflict?): "The device ACPI\SYN1509\4&280eea7&0 had a startup problem."

Can you guide me on what actions to take to restore my touchpad, please... I don't know what else to do...

    Hello,

    Press Windows + R
    Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

    Right-click on the problematic device
    Uninstall

    Click on --> Action
    Scan for hardware changes.
