Good evening forum,

I've never quite understood how the vertical scrollbar works in Excel.
If I create a table with 30 rows on a blank sheet, when I move the vertical scrollbar, located on the right side of the screen, to the very bottom, my 30th row is at the bottom of the screen.
If I add 20 rows and then delete them (so I still have ... 30!), the scrollbar moved all the way down shows me row ... 50!
Is there a solution to restore the scrollbar's functionality, so that when moved all the way down, it shows my last filled row at the bottom of the screen?

Thank you for your insights!

Configuration: Excel 2016

    Hello,

He remembers the last line used.
Select the empty lines, right-click 'Delete', save the file.

By continually trying, we eventually succeed.
So the more it fails, the more chances we have that it works. (the Shadoks)
In addition to the thank you (yes, it does happen!!!), remember to mark it as resolved. Thank you.

      Hello Eric
      Unfortunately without success.
Including by simply modifying just before saving a cell in the last row of the table ...

      Hello,

do you position yourself correctly on the line numbers on the left to select them and right-click? You need to select the lines completely.

Yes, I completely delete the lines this way.
I've done quite a few trials in every direction without success.

Drop the file so we can see if we have the same issue.
Maybe there's a problem with 2016 although I find it hard to believe.

    Good evening Eric
Here is a link to the anonymized file:

In some cases, the elevator can still go much lower.
    Thank you in advance.

Your last cell is M35, everything is normal (2010).
Same if I add and delete them.
Don't forget to save after deleting rows?
Otherwise, wait to see if someone with 2016 notices the issue. Your signature is up to date, it's not 365?

It's Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016, version 1901 (build 11231.20130), but upon starting the app, it does show Office 365.
Upon reopening this sample file, I can't reproduce the problem, which is strange.
I'm marking it as resolved, thanking you for your help.

Still, this version of Office has played some tricks on me lately (gbinforme has suffered from it too...)

    Have a good evening!
