Hello, I recently bought GTA V, but I can't play it; I'm experiencing "freezes" of several seconds in the menu and during gameplay. The image and even the sound cut out every 2 seconds.
My specs:
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5 3450 (3.1 GHz)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GTX 1050Ti
(I apparently have the required configuration even though the processor is a bit old)
Thanks in advance

Hello, I had pretty much the same problem with this setup:
Windows 10
Intel Core i5-7300HQ (2.5 GHz - 3.5 GHz in turbo)
6 GB DDR4 (2133 MHz) of RAM
Nvidia GTX 1050Ti (2 GB)
Since then, I have 12 GB of RAM (DDR4 2400 MHz) and there are no more freezes.
Maybe there's not enough RAM, but that seems weird to me because 8 GB should normally be sufficient. Is there something else running while you're playing? -
Hi, are all your drivers up to date, especially the graphics card one? Is the system clean? No temperature issues?
This setup is very good for GTA 5. Just a reminder, this game is from 2013.

80% of 8 GB of RAM used without running anything is huge. Maybe a game is still cached in memory after closing. 30% is already better but not perfect. In the Processes tab of the Task Manager, you can see which applications are the most resource-hungry when it spikes to 80%. You can also see how it performs in-game (in windowed mode).
