Hello,

I need your help because I can't do it alone,

I created a CV on this site 'cvdesignr.com', I downloaded my CV from this site and when I try to transfer it to various temp agencies or 'le bon coin', it says 'unauthorized format'.

I then tried to convert my file to PDF but it doesn't work, I'm on Android (tablet), I checked the properties of my CV and it says PDF so I don't understand, I also tried to save it in Open Word as PDF and it's the same...

If someone can help me, thank you very much because it's urgent

I have already performed this operation, there is no problem reading it on another PC, only it is impossible to send it via Leboncoin or Intérim, in short, to deposit it digitally. I just wanted to try to convert this file on an online conversion site and it says "sorry, this file is not supported," so I don’t even know what type of file I have. Anyway, on their site "cvdesignr," it clearly states "download pdf."

So I'm having a hard time understanding..

The file must have an extension... what is it?

You can also open the file in a word processing software to view its content... It will be code, but a PDF file always starts with the signs: %PDF-1. followed by a number which indicates the PDF version.

However, what is possible (I'm not saying that this is the case) is that if the file is protected or in image format, the software that can retrieve the content of a PDF file (to use the data in a database, for example) will not be able to do so and will reject the file.

You can send it to me in a private message if you want after creating a link (www.cjoint.com for example).

Maybe your document has a protection..
Check in Acrobat Reader if that's the case..

Hello, thank you

I entered Adobe Teaser with the file, how can I see if it is protected?

In Adobe Reader: menu "File/Properties/Security"

I'm on Android and is it really Adobe Acrobat Reader? Because I don't see the security properties.

Sorry, I don't use a tablet running Android...

I'm afraid that PDF file viewing tools are not as comprehensive as those available on a PC running Windows...

Send your CV as an attachment by email to someone who can check if it opens correctly on a PC, (and any potential protections).

Alright,

Do you want me to send it to you in a private message? Via the link '' cjoint.com ''

Okay..
So your file is indeed a PDF file, without any restrictions or protection, and it is not an image.

However, the file you linked is considered a "text" file because its extension is "txt"...

Change its extension to "PDF" and see if websites accept it or not.

Okay, thank you for changing the file extension. Is the operation "save as" and choose the file mode? Because if this is the case, I'm having trouble finding software on Android.

To change a file's extension on Android, you can do it with a file manager.
There is "TotalCommander" available on Android... (I have it on my smartphone)

I restarted my resume on another app, I downloaded it as a PDF and it does the same thing!! So it's coming from my damn Android tablet.

Hello,

I also have this issue with my smartphone and Google Chrome. I changed my browser and since then, no more problems.
