WSD connection problem on Windows 8

Hello,

I can't configure my Asus Vivo Book PC to connect via WSD with my Epson printer. I'm using the Windows 8 operating system. Could you tell me if this connection is available on my operating system? If so, could you explain to me how to do it? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi,
WSD is just another piece of crap from Microsoft.
Connect your printer in a different way, it will be better.
What type of connection ports does it have?
Is it a shared printer or not?

Thank you for your response, my printer has a Wi-Fi Direct connection, SSID, WSD, Epson Cloud, and it also has the classic port to connect to the computer via USB. My problem is that I want to scan documents without going through my PC. When I go through the printer's touchscreen, it only offers me the following options:
the WSD doesn't work and the cloud doesn't allow me to scan the documents directly to my desktop in my opinion, and finally, I don't want to connect it via USB because it is on Wi-Fi and yes, it is a shared printer.

I spent last night on it but I can't manage it, I think I need to insert the printer installation CD, which I can't use because my computer doesn't have a CD drive. I'm giving up, I'll rather scan from my PC. IT is not my thing, and thank you very much for your help.
