Resetting the plan??

Hello everyone
What would we do without our favorite forum (CCM).

While rereading the contract that binds me to the original phone operator (commonly referred to as the fruit), I saw that I am tied until next January, but also (if I remember correctly) that the plan will be reset next September:
Could someone explain to me what that means and the legal implications regarding my plan taken at the beginning of the year?

    Hi,
    the data plan resets every month, the commitment is related to the acquisition of the mobile through the operator: they provide it to you, you still have to pay a bit for it before switching stores.

      and thank you for your very quick response. The small issue is that when I reached out to Agrume, I already had my smartphone which was more than enough for me. If we eliminate the new phone... What is left?

        The question is:
        why take a plan with a contract if you're not getting a new phone?
        there are so many offers without a contract.
        otherwise, consumption counters are still monthly, to my knowledge.
