Update for my Takara GP73B GPS

Hello,

I received an email with a file to download which would allow me to update my Takara GP73B GPS.

I downloaded it and then launched the update program. It took a very long time, and in the end, the system told me that the operation was complete and that if there was a problem, I should click "restore".

I went back to my GPS and it asked me for an activation code. I decided to initiate the restoration. After this operation, my GPS was functioning properly.

I tried again: I restarted the update program, the system told me that the operation was complete and that if there was a problem, I should click "restore".

Same thing: I went back to my GPS and it asked me for an activation code. I decided to start the restoration again. And then, surprise! It continued asking me for an activation code.

I then called Takara's customer service. They sent me a file "benomad.lic" which I was to replace with the one with the same name on my GPS. That's what I did, after backing up my GPS files to my PC.

It still doesn't work; it keeps asking for an activation code. I decided to put the old file back in its place on my GPS, replacing the one I received by email.

As of today, my GPS is still asking for an activation code.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
In my opinion, we should continue with the manufacturer's support because GPS devices are easy to crash, but it's up to you...
