Hello,
I was using Avira as my antivirus until it started to bug: spontaneous opening of an advertisement page (ame.avira) several times in a row.
After reading the post on the page https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-35386534-ame-avira-com-m-empeche-la-consultation-de-sites, I uninstalled it thinking of downloading another antivirus.
However, Microsoft Security Essentials, Kaspersky Free, and even Avira indicate on their site that their antivirus is no longer configured for Windows Vista.
So what is the best antivirus I can still download for Windows Vista?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
None.
Vista is old and no longer supported.
Even if you find one, it will probably be oversized because it was designed for newer computers.
This could lead to slowdowns.
You should consider switching your Vista computer to Linux for recycling.
There are lightweight distributions for this, see this page: https://www.malekal.com/distributions-linux-recycler-ordinateur-windows/

Hello
Indeed, replacing Vista with a free and secure GNU/Linux distribution would be the best alternative.
If your PC is running Vista, we can easily go for a MATE desktop. To get started, I suggest you check out Linux Mint Mate 64 bits. It’s ready to use. Nothing to do after installation except change the desktop wallpaper. Ideal for beginners.
Here is the ISO: http://ftp.crifo.org/mint-cd/stable/19.1/linuxmint-19.1-mate-64bit.iso
