Hello,

I discovered today that I can make calls without Wi-Fi or 3G/4G.

I would like to know how this is possible since it is supposed to cut off.

My correspondent and I could hear each other well, just like a normal call.

Any ideas?

Sincerely.

Without WiFi, 4G, or 3G, you're left with the basic GSM network... Your phone is capable of automatically switching to the available network if the preferred network is not available...

So, if I didn't have a SIM card, I wouldn't have been able to call because the basic GSM is on my SIM card?

Without a SIM card, no calls can be made on GSM, 4G, 3G networks, etc......

However, with special devices that do DECT and GSM.. (the Panasonic KX-PRX150 is one of them).. you could have made calls with a landline....

Hello XGames17

Before you had access to 3-4G, which is not necessary for CALLING, how did you make calls with an old phone?

Hi

???

WiFi, 3G/4G, and mobile data have nothing to do with phone calls.

They are used to have an Internet connection (with mobile data for 3G/4G)

Without a SIM card, no phone calls

Hi, without a SIM card there's no connection either 3G or 4G, the Wi-Fi is only available for the internet.

Yet calls on 3G/4G and even Wi-Fi exist today.

yes but not directly with the phone's function, Wi-Fi calls are done through a specific app, such as Snapchat, Messenger, and others like Skype.
In fact, this has existed for a very long time, it's VOIP but technically it has nothing to do with it.
