    Why do you want to erase this hard drive?
    Is it internal or external?
    Otherwise, it would be better to use this one:

      Hello, I would like to erase this internal 2.5-inch 1TB hard drive to replace it with a 250GB SSD, because right now I am only using 40GB on my HDD, that's why.

        I don't see the connection with the 250GB SSD!
        Otherwise, a simple format is enough...

    Surely a crappy software that is likely to do more harm than good. I recommend Ccleaner which is free, well-known, and very efficient.

      Hello, I thought this software was used to completely erase deleted data on the hard drive so that there are no traces left (for example, in case of selling the PC).

      Right-click on it (via the explorer, where your disk appears) then click on format (after select "Quick format").
