How and where to retrieve all Picasa files

Hello,

Years of photos are stored on Picasa, but apparently the transfer proves to be complicated. Is there a solution? What is the best place to store them? Thank you for your help.

    That said, the best place to store photos remains paper—nothing is safer and it doesn’t crash.

      Sorry for not replying earlier, my computer was down and I hadn’t checked my emails.
      I wanted to say that the dates don’t correspond to the shooting dates: everything is mixed up, whereas before, Picasa sorted the photos by date.
