Hello,

I have a Philips D200 landline phone, and since this morning it has been displaying "battery low". I changed the batteries, yet it still shows battery low. It can no longer receive or make calls.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you

    Good evening,
Have you installed rechargeable AAA Ni-MH 1.2 V 550 mAh batteries?
Regular batteries could explode or even cause a fire.

Check that they have been installed in the correct orientation.
Ensure that the connection between the power supply and the charger (or base) is properly plugged in, and that the outlet the power supply is connected to is functioning.
When you place the handset on the base (or charger):
Do you hear a beep from the handset?
Does the battery logo light up or not?

Good evening, I bought simple batteries found in the supermarket. The phone had been working with them for years. When I place the handset on the base, there is indeed a beep that sounds. The low battery logo is flashing. Everything is properly connected.

Simple batteries... DANGER they are not meant to be recharged... The ones that were in place look like batteries but they are rechargeable.
Are they oriented the right way?

Yes, now the phone shows "unavailable".

Should I remove the batteries and buy rechargeable ones?

YES, it is essential to use rechargeable batteries; respect the polarity and wait 4/5 hours before they are recharged.
