Flag script in Python

Hello,
So I'm a beginner in Python, we have an assignment due very soon but I’m completely stuck, it's image processing, with the PIL library imported.
1) Show a script that displays the flag of Trinidad and Tobago.
The problem is I can't make the diagonal lines in image processing...
2) Show a script that displays the Vietnamese flag.
Well, there, I’m completely stuck.. I have no idea how to draw the star on the flag using image processing.
Please help me... :l
