Remove Subtitle Format Factory

Hello, here's my problem:

I wanted to convert a series I downloaded in mkv to mp4 using Format Factory. However, after the conversion, subtitles that I didn't request appeared. There seems to be no way to remove them through the video options. I thought I found the problem in Format Factory's options by clicking "none" in the subtitles category, but they are still there in the end...

So I'm looking for a way to remove them or to ensure that they don't appear on the video if I try the conversion again...

Thank you in advance for your responses and have a nice day!

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 54.0

    Hello,

It depends on how the MKV file is constructed.

If the subtitles are embedded in the video, then there is no way to remove them. At best, you can blur them or crop your file to remove the bottom part of the video stream.

If the subtitles are a separate file, then there should be a way to remove them. Maybe Format Factory is not the right software; try another one. You can also use MKVToolnix to remove them from your MKV file, and this way, the conversion will be easier regardless of the conversion software used.

    Best regards
