Hello everyone,
I generated a table of contents in LibreOffice Writer. Since my document consists of several sections, I selected each title, then clicked on 'Insert', 'Table of Contents and Index' and 'Index Entry'. A gray background appears on the selected title. I then right-click on the generated table of contents and click on 'Update Index'. However, no titles appear in the table. Instead, the entire document shows up in the table!
I also tried a method explained in a tutorial, which unfortunately does not work either: I select the title, apply a 'Heading 1' style, then update the table and still nothing.
I thank you in advance for any help.

Hello.
"I select the title, apply a 'Heading 1' style for example, then I update the table and I have nothing"
Repeat this process.
The title must be separated from the following text by a paragraph break.
And it's not an index entry that needs to be activated, but a table of contents ...
