How long does the hourglass last?

Hello,
I would like to know how long after the hourglass appears do we lose our flames, because I am about to have 200 flames and I definitely do not want to lose them. Thanks in advance.

    Personally, the hourglass had remained for 1 hour from the moment I noticed it, after that I lost more than a year of flames... bummer.
